Housekeeper 2
SUMMARY: The Environmental Aide II/ Housekeeper II provides daily cleaning of floors in corridors and other areas. Uses cleaning equipment including 10 inch Roto, Commercial Vacuums, 24 oz. Mop and other necessary equipment, tools and products and supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Dry and wet mop corridors.

Scrub and buff floors.

Apply finish to floors.

Clean and shampoo carpets.

Collect trash.
-
Move furniture and setup for meetings.

Wash walls, light fixtures, vacuum vents and wash windows.

Maintain and dean equipment and perform other cleaning functions as assigned.

Assist with Housekeeping duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to use a 10 inch Roto
Must be able to use commercial vacuums and 24 oz. Mop
Knowledge and observance of safety precautions
Must have the ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
Dependable/Self Starter
EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
SKILLS/APTITUDES;
Must pass test of skill and mechanical aptitude to detect equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be able to make common sense decisions to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have sufficient mobility and dexterity to safely climb ladders, steps, etc.
Must have sufficient mobility and dexterity to safely operate cleaning equipment.
Must be able to see and hear.
Must be able to bend ,stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Use prosthetic or mechanical devices may be used to adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be safely met. Devices may not be such that they interfere with normal safety aides (modified if necessary).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in well-lighted and ventilated area(s) as well as throughout the facility.
Works in busy sometimes hectic atmosphere
Requires some weekend, nights and overtime
Weekends/Holidays work required
Is subject to frequent interruptions
May be exposed to infectious waste diseases, conditions and etc. including Hepatitis B Virus
